ChainThat
Global reinsurance platform with distributed-ledger settlement. Built an impressive proof of concept of a strategic UI for the flagship platform, then led the UI team in converting it into a full implementation and migrating to React.
The problem / requirement
Reinsurance runs on slow, document-heavy, error-prone processes between many parties. ChainThat set out to modernise this with a distributed-ledger platform, and needed a strategic, credible user interface to prove and then deliver the vision.
Proposed solution & goals
I built an impressive proof of concept of a strategic UI for the flagship distributed-ledger platform, then supported the UI development team in a key leadership role to convert the POC into a full implementation, owning a substantial share of the development and mentoring the team through migrating to React.
Challenges
Turning a complex, novel domain, delegated authority, bordereaux and treaty structures, into a usable interface; migrating a team to React mid-project; and carrying momentum from proof of concept into production.
Outcomes
A flagship reinsurance UI taken from proof of concept to full implementation, with the team levelled up on React. The ChainThat team recommended the work warmly.
